Researchers report an equation that estimates the frequency of “origin-of-life” events on a planet based on the amount of life-sustaining chemical building blocks available on the planet, and suggest that the transfer of chemical building blocks between neighboring planets may substantially increase the chance of life arising on them. - Read at PNAS.org
