Analysis of US Endangered Species Act funding

Using a return on investment analysis to evaluate the influence of funding on the recovery of 1,125 species protected under the US Endangered Species Act, a study reveals that redistribution of recovery funds from the top 50 overfunded species to those that are severely underfunded would eliminate funding deficits for more than 180 plant and animal species, potentially improving recovery success. - See at PNAS.org
